Let the Games Begin
Grace started soccer a few weeks ago. She was so excited about her new cleats, shin guards and ball. They are the Purple Dolphins...

About halfway through the game she decided she didn't want to play anymore. Ray gave her a little pep talk about being on a team, about how all her teammates are relying on her. She decided to finish the game.

Awesome~ She is getting to be a big girl! I would tell you about our soccer experience, but it was not much fun... I put her on the UVa kids team and she was the only girl AND all the boys were Euro, so they kicked the ball and played HARD. First game, ball in the face, bleeding nose and she was afraid after that. I will have to find the pictures though. It was so so so cute. I bet Grace is going to be a CHAMP. She has a good dad to cheer her on. Valerie just had me and I would not have wanted to play after bleeding either. Also. I love your new banner picture. Naomi looks just like Grace did the first time I got to see her when she was about 3 months old. They could be twins!
so much fun!! Soccer is great and runs off all that energy.
I can't wait for Colby to start soccer!! How fun.
Oh my goodness, Crystal!! I don't think Grace would every play soccer again if that happened!! This league is really good, no pressure at all. They don't have goalies and they don't keep score. Most of the little girls have never played. Today after the team meeting at the end of the game Grace ran up to me and said, excitedly, "we scored some goals this time!!". That hasn't happened before today :)
