So here is what I got:
-9 boxes of cereal
-9 boxes of hamburger/chicken/tuna helper (not my fave, but good for food storage and when you need a quick dinner)
-4 boxes of gogurt
-3 4-packs of yoplait yoplus lite yogurt
-3 4-packs of yoplait delights yogurt
-2 packs of green giant steamers veggies
-11 boxes of fruit roll up stickers
-30 containers of yoplait lite yogurt
-1 bag of doritos
Total price before discounts and coupons: $129.79
Total price after discounts and coupons: $44.10
That's a 66% savings people!!
Not only that, but...
After I paid I got another $15.50 in customer appreciation vouchers that I can use on my next excursion!! $2 was from yoplait, $3.50 was from general mills, and $10 was from Albertsons-and I can use it on anything I want. So, if you include that $15.50, I got almost $130 in groceries for $28.60! Woohoo!!!
Look how long my receipt is. Awesome.
I just hope eventually it becomes such a regular thing that I don't have to blog about it every time it happens :)

So glad to see those Doritos are NOT the Cheeseburger. Way to go. Where do you get your coupons? Give us your secret!
Lori, I get the sunday paper for some coupons. I also get a lot from coupons.com, they let you print them twice. I also use a website called pinchingyourpennies.com, it goes through the weekly grocery store circulars and matches all the sales up with available coupons. I mostly use Albertsons, they have the best sales.
You have to save some of that hamburger helper for when I am there.
Colin
We'll class it up and have the chicken helper when you are here, Colin :)
also, did all of you get the doritos coupons i emailed you? mom
I soooo wish I could go shopping with you. One of my friends is totally into Hip2Save.com. I should try more....we don't have any stores here that do crazy good deals like Albertsons. Walgreens is the only one where I've seen some amazing deals. And Target, but it seems like I always get a snotty cashier who doesn't want to let me use all the coupons.
Dana, you should just try and get your weekly circular from your local grocery store, then see what coupons you can find on coupons.com to match up to the sales. They let you copy the coupons twice, and I heard that if you use another computer in your house you can copy them again (but I haven't tried that). I bet you could get a lot of good deals!
I am seriously impressed. Seriously. You just can't argue with 66% savings!
That is good stuff! I sometimes want to go buy a Sunday paper just FOR the coupons, but I haven't yet and I really am averted to printing coupons with how quickly my printer runs out of ink. I am SURE it is worth it, I need to get over the aversion. At our stores, they won't let us buy more than 4-6 of one specific item with coupon savings. Do your stores not have those restrictions?
I definitely need to figure that out though. I have friend (like you!) who save so much... but also spend a LOT of time with it. And Swagbucks- do you do that?! I have a friend who has gotten $100 Amazon gift cards just in June alone. I tried that, but the toolbar made me clazy.
Anyway, you are a supa star!
I tried swagbucks too, Crystal, and I just couldn't handle to toolbar either. My Alberstons must not have that rule. I had a bunch of coupons for .40-.60 off 6-8 yogurts, so I just got as many as I had coupons for and they were totally cool with it.
Oh my goodness, I am SO happy to see your savings!! (seriously!! I'm a coupon addict and I love it when other people can relate, since many think I'm nuts!) About 4 months ago I really got in to the coupon savings game & it's definetly a rush. I follow many blogs (www.myfrugaladventures.com as my fav) and I see many deals for Albertsons, but where I live safeway has the best deals. All our coupons are worth $1, LOVE IT! I laugh hysterically at your yogurt purchases, I purchase SO much yogurt I store it in the freezer. I never pay more then 0.75c per package of yogurt and my kids eat it all up! Once you pay 0.25c for a box of cereal, you almost puke at the thought of paying 0.80c or higher. I can't bring myself to do it..hehe.
We used to spend about $200 weekly on our groceries, hence, I have 4 children ages 15,12 & 8yr old twins and a hubsters that can eat like no other...and now we only spend about $80 weekly!! AND, I get better quality food and more of it! I'm actually able to stockpile. Keep going rebecca, you will be lovin' life when your savings are in the 85% range.
Just for braggin rights (lol) today I shopped and my bill was $176 and after all my coupons &
e-coupons, my out of pockets was: $73
OH..and just to tell you how coupon crazy I am, I purchase 4 sunday papers...LOL!!!
I'm going to check out that site, Tracey!!
Rebecca, make sure you check the coupon preview as well. You can do this at www.forthemamas.com. Around wednesdays or thursdays every week she posts the coupon preview for what will be in the upcoming sundays papers, this can help you decide if you should wait to shop until then or not. If there is a really good coupon that you want more of, you can order more also...I've done this many times for laundry coupons/granola bars etc.
