Sweet Baby Maggie...

Grace came up and gave Maggie her baby.  Look how pale she was, it was so sad!

Yesterday afternoon around 4 the puke hit the fan, if you know what I'm sayin'.  Maggie had a low fever before her nap, so I gave her some Tylenol, and she was a bit winey.  Once she started throwing up she just didn't stop!! It got pretty ugly for a couple of hours before Ray got home! I would get Maggie cleaned up, clean up the floor, run up to wash my hands so I could pick up Naomi and it would start all over again!! She puked all over me at one point. Another time she threw up and Elliot started gagging watching the whole thing, and HE threw up!! Then Grace starts gagging! I banished Grace and Elliot to the basement and told them not to come up unless someone was bleeding.

So Naomi is screaming, screaming screaming. Maggie is puking, puking, puking. I can't touch Naomi, or her binky, so I am frantically trying to help Maggie, clean up, get my hands washed and help Naomi. It just seemed like every time I turned around Maggie was throwing up again!! And it was so sad. She eventually was just dry heaving and throwing up bile. And she was so pale. I have been lamenting recently about how busy Maggie is. She is into everything, every second she is awake. I always breathe a sigh of relief when Maggie goes down for a nap. It never fails, whenever I sit down to feed Naomi I start to hear a chair being scooted over to the counter for Maggie to climb on. She's no dummy, she knows I'm not as free to jump up and stop her when I am feeding the baby. However, yesterday she was so listless and didn't even want to move. It was so sad, I just wanted my busy little baby back. I was getting really worried because every time she drank even a tiny bit she would immediately throw it up. This lasted until around midnight. We tried to get her to drink some pedialite, which she hated. Finally I just gave her a sippy cup full of water and she downed the whole thing in about 1 minute. She threw up again around 2, drank a bunch more water and has been sleeping ever since. Hopefully my little sweetie is over the worst and she will be back to making mischief again today :)

UPDATE:
Maggie is awake and is feeling much better.  She still has a fever, but her rosy cheeks and smiling face are back :)

Poor thing! My sympathys to you also Becky. It's not pleasant being thrown up on(even if it is your own child). Hope the puke stops with her and doesn't hit eveyone else!
