Great to be 8!

Grace turned 8 two weeks ago. It is very surreal. I can't believe how fast the last 8 years have gone. I became a new person the day she was born, the person I was born to become. She started it all. I can't believe it was 8 years ago. Anyway, Grace was anxiously awaiting her 8th birthday. It is a big milestone. She will be baptized in less than a week, and she finally got her ears pierced!!! (she's been talking about this for months!). We took her to the mall on her birthday to have it done. Ray kept teasing her about how bad it hurts and that she was going to cry. But my girl is tough didn't shed a single tear.

Right before she got them pierced.

Right after the deed was done!

And of course we did some shopping at Claire's right after. Grace spent all her birthday money from grandma on some new earrings. Her friend Aria joined us. Grace announced on the way home that Claire's is her new favorite store :)

Then we came home and celebrated with some cake and ice cream.

Happy Birthday Grace! Such adorable pictures. I hope her party was a success. Lily was very upset I got her squinkies instead of earrings.

Did Grace get her ears pierced at Claire's? That's the same place I got MY ears pierced when I was 8, TOO! Happy birthday to the beautiful girl. And the picture of Grace straight-faced in front of her cake is AWESOME.

Wow, I can't believe Grace is 8! I remember her first birthday at Chuck E Cheese in Boise. (Pretty sure it was her first birthday??) Glad she had a happy birthday. She is so cute!!

I also changed when Grace was born. She made me a grandpa, so the day before her birth, I was still young, but then I was old. But you know, I don't care. That's also part of the change. Life is good. thanks Gracie.

Happy LATE birthday GRACE! We are so proud of your decision to be baptized! You are a wonderful example to all your cousins. I really, really wish that we could be there with you. You are such a sweet and lovable girl! Heavenly Father and Jesus are so pleased with your choice also. We CAN'T wait to be so much closer to you and your family. It will be wonderful to have you at Mia's baptism when the time comes. We LOVE you!

The picture that really got my attention was serious Grace behind the birthday cake. Wow! do you ever look like your mom. You would have looked EXACTLY like her if you had had a really frizzy perm:) Grandma
