Today was hippie day at school for the kids. I usually forget these things like all good moms, but my Grace would NOT let me forget this time. So last night I was scrambling for some hippie-ish outfits for them. Here's what we came up with.
Ray didn't like the whole idea of hippie day and sighed loudly, in an I'm-so-annoyed kind of way, the whole time we were getting ready. I assured him that our kids would not turn in to hippies if they dressed up like them for one the day (he was raised by hippies and is a bit disenchanted with the whole idea :) ). Ray kept trying to talk Elliot in to wearing his suit and tie to school for hippie day (which I do think would've been funny) but Elliot wasn't having it!

Far out! Do they ever look authentic. But I don't blame you for being concerned Ray. Next thing you know, they'll be smokin' grass.
Grandpa
Becky, it's been way too long since I dropped by other people's blogs (and YES, December is CRAZY). Right at this moment I should be in bed, actually, but I'm glad I stopped by for a minute.
First of all, GRACE LOOKS SO GROWN UP! It's kinda crazy! I can't get over how big Grace and Elliott are... and what is up with hippy day? My kids would be ecstatic to dress up as hippies, but I'm totally with Ray. What? Hippies? Why?
Lastly, I LOVE the photos on here! Your Fall/Winter photos (complete with bare butt), and decorating the tree and the stockings and the icicles... it's all so festive and moving, and the kids are beautiful, and I'm really glad I stayed up past my bedtime tonight!
Merry Christmas to all of you, and thanks for blogging your life. I LOVE these moments of brief glimpses in, and staying in touch. LOVE it!
Well done on the outfits! I say definitely keep pushing for Elliot to wear the suit. Maybe next year?
I ♥ Maggie. Her outfit reminds me so much of Eva. Eva has the same skirt and is ALWAYS wearing boots.
