We were ALL excited for the first day of school...

...if you know what I mean.

Grace and Elliot started school today. Grace knows her way around the place and was really excited to go this morning. Elliot was really excited, too. I was a little more nervous for him. I got a big lump in my throat as I left his classroom. I have always been a bit more protective of him. But I don't give him enough credit. He is such a cool kids and I'm sure he is going to be just fine.

Grace really wanted her hair to be curly for the first day, so I tried this sock technique that I saw on a blog once. I just took her wet hair and wrapped it up in socks, then tied them. Next time I think I will use more socks, but it turned out pretty well!

I made Elliot put his backpack on and pose with Grace this morning, even though he didn't go to school until this afternoon.

He loves this shirt. It is the only shirt that he really picked out himself and was really excited to get. It was kind of hot when he went to school, but he didn't want to change.

He looks so big and old in this picture :(

I ended up taking him because the bus was really late (I saw it drive by our house after I got home from dropping him off!), but he is really excited about riding the bus.
