Guess where my van is?

Parked in my garage!! I can hardly believe it myself! We have lived in this house for a year and I have learned to just tune out the garage when I walk by. I would close my eyes, hum a happy song and pretend it wasn't there. It was scary, folks. I soooo wish I would've taken before pictures, but I didn't. But here is what it looks like now!

We spent allll day on Saturday cleaning it out. We took a huge load of stuff to goodwill and a HUGE load of stuff to the dump, and now we have a clean garage that I can actually park in!

We found all sorts of fun stuff during our garage cleaning adventure. First, I found our lost set of van keys that have been missing for almost 2 years! Woo Hoo!

Some other fun stuff we found:

Photobucket
My Utah State ID card. Back then they just put your SS# (AKA student number) right there on your card for all the world to see. Wow, I'm old.

Photobucket
My very first check register from my and Ray's joint account. I had some compulsive need to save every single check register for the first 5 years of my marriage...
I loved this because I found a sweet note from my then 14 year old baby sister Dana :)

This next find gave Ray and I a good laugh...

Just remember that it was the early '90's, people....

I'm just keepin' it real, folks...

Tanning beds were really popular back then...

My senior pictures!

Photobucket
Love the spray-painted foam '93, and I just don't have anything to say about my hair.
1993, people.

Photobucket
Love white pantyhose and pumps,
and my friend Andrea just reminded me! The "pirate shirt" Sienfeld episode just called, they want their shirt back ;)

Photobucket
Love the pink backdrop,
and the shoulder pads ;)

Photobucket
The ladder? Classic!

Photobucket
The fake ficus tree? Perfect.

Photobucket
The wicker chair? So whimsical.

Photobucket
The faint glow behind my head? Angelic.
Some always classic hand to the chin shots.

Photobucket
This looks like the picture you see in the doctor's office of the office manager.
(and love the shine off the earring!)

Photobucket
Hmmm, so mysterious!

Photobucket
Just to remind you, again, that it was 1993!
(love the sandals, and don't you think the pink backdrop goes so well with the yellow shirt?)

Photobucket
All for the amazing price of $54.95. Worth every cent, in my opinion! Mom and dad sprung for the $15 clothes change fee, you only graduate from high school once, after all.

And this doesn't have anything to do with cleaning out the garage, but check out this hunk!
Photobucket
I took some shots of Ray for our website :)

See, cleaning the garage out can be fun!

This post is AWESOME! I needed a good laugh tonight, and your comments on your senior shots, did jus that! Funny thing is, there must have been only one photographer in Poky, because my pics. look the same, and I remember Molly and Les's looking just like yours as well! Too funny. The USU card brought back a flood of memories! Thanks for sharing, my friend!

Awesome! Loved the senior pics. You actually looked great for the early 90's. I loved your ruffled white shirt. It reminds me of the pirate shirt seinfeld episode. Your pictures of Ray turned out great.

Haha, your senior pictures are awesome!! The blue dress is my favorite...LOL! I'm so glad those props and backdrops aren't still popular. Someday we will look back at the pictures we take now and laugh.
The note from Dana was so cute! I wonder if she still puts a smiley face in the tail of her "a"??? :)

This is GREAT!! Colin was just commenting on the garage and wondered if you've ever been able to park in any of your garages. He might get mad at me for saying that. Way to go!!! I love dejunking and getting rid of things. Such a great feeling!!! No one can clean a garage like you and Ray!

Happy Birthday Becky!!! Those senior pictures are priceless and I bet Grace thinks they are great. Love the white pumps.

Oh man. Good ol' Freedom Photo. What's up with the ladder? That was a very popular prop back then. I Can't help but think of Napoleon Dynamite when Deb is trying to get a glamor shot of Uncle Rico, with the elbow on the knee, head resting on the fist.
Great post.

Sweeeeet pictures!! And I really mean that about the pictures of Ray. You guys are all professional and ready to boom! Did that sentence even make sense? Shan, I don't do that smiley at the end of my name...maybe I should pick that back up.

Wow. These are so amazingly awesome. Don't you love looking back at trends that were just so ragingly popular and thinking, "Huh?" I'd like to think trends nowadays are timeless. I'm probably wrong.
