I can't wait to see this in the summer when the trees are all in bloom. But there is something so beautiful about those intertwined, leafless branches, don't you think?
PARK!! Run for it!
Monkeybar love...
We were following the Moose Trail...the kids were so excited to find the moose!
On Sunday we had our annual Valentine's cookie decorating party. Maggie and Naomi were a little sick, so we stayed home from church. Maggie helped me make the cookies (she washed her hands, promise ;) ).
Oh man, this cookie recipe was soooo good! I also made this frosting...YUM!
I got the new "neon" food coloring. Not sure if I like it, I think I'm more of a traditional color kind of girl.
Naomi sure did enjoy it! Poor Maggie was asleep during the decorating but she very much enjoyed the finished product when she woke up! That's all that really matters, right!?
Sugary yummy goodness!!
As for the rest of our 4 day weekend, well, we made the kids help clean the house. It can't be all fun and games, right?!

I have only seen Lake Coeur d'Alene once, but I remember it! It is beautiful. I loved seeing your pictures. It looked like a fun day for you and your cute family. I must say, the kids did great decorating your sugar cookies. Frosted sugar cookies are one of my very favorite treats. Oh, boy am I craving them now!
I love this post- what a perfect weekend! We had school/JMU on President's Day and Valerie had school on MLK day... so not fun, the temple is open on those Mondays and it would have been a perfect day to visit.
I love your cookies, but after I tried a cookie recipe with sour cream in it and I ruined my 20th batch of attempted sugar cookies, I have sworn them off. Why the heck cant I make them!?
Anyway. I hope everyone is feeling well and that picture of your big three going down the pier is perfection.
Love that lake. Love those kids. Love sugar cookies.
Grandpa
