"Father . . . is ever willing to sacrifice his own comfort for that of his children. Daily he toils to provide the necessities of life, never complaining, ever concerned for the well-being of his family. This love for children, this desire to see them well and happy, is a constant in a time of change." -Thomas S. Monson
My sister Abby emailed us this song, Gracie, that is playing right now. I had heard it before, but Ray hadn't and he had Grace listen to it with him. She came upstairs and drew this picture for Ray. It is the outline of her hand with her and Ray inside, with a heart on top. She is such a sweet girl.
Ray is such a good dad, the kids absolutely adore him. When he gets home from work they all totally freak out, climb all over him and I basically become chopped liver!! He treats them like the little people that they are and has genuine conversations with them, showing genuine interest. He also plays with them all the time. He is definitely a hands on dad. He wrestles with them and throws them around on the couches. Even Maggie has always been anxious to get in on the action! I have always known that his family is his number 1 priority and every decision he makes is made with our happiness in mind. It is so important for little girls to have a good relationship with their father. If they don't, it can leave a hole in them that they will constantly try to fill, sometimes in destructive ways. I am so grateful that my girls have a dad like Ray!

It has gotten long enough to "do", and she saw a girl with her hair done like this at church and asked me to try it with her hair. It worked!! She was really excited!

I really really really love that song!!!! I can't believe Grace is big enough to draw that picture....wow, it's great but so sad at the same time. Sweet baby Grace.
Grace's hair looks so cute but them she always looks cute in her pictures!
Dad's are so important and Ray seems like the greatest!!! I remember him being the "nice" cook at JB's...remember that mean one?
There is something special about a girl and her Dad and that relationship is so important. You can tell Ray is a hands on Dad. I LOVED that post of them singing while you were out.
Since I am not close to my Dad I am so so happy that Jake had a great role model as a Dad. ( I ADORE his Dad...) The kids prefer Jake to me and I am used to it now.
This is totally random but BEcky I was thinking about all of us from Logan and thinking how we all married the "nicest" guys. I don't know Ray well but I have always had so much respect for him. But then look at all the "nice" gals....
You guys are great!!!
P.S. I was in Logan today and thought of you.
Extending Angie's comment to the family, all of the Croshaw girls seem to have lucked out with the caliber of husband/father-figures you've married. I just couldn't say enough good things about every one of them. Keeps me optimistic that I'll have similar luck. :o)
Great post, Becky. I love seeing pictures of your kids and Grace's expressions always crack me up. She is definitely her own person. As always, thank for letting me peek into your life.
