I turned 35 last month. I wasn't excited about my birthday, to say the least. I kinda wanted to crawl under my covers and come out the next day when my birthday was over. I don't know what it was about turning 35 that filled me with so much dread. I guess I felt like my youth is officially gone (dramatic much? I know). But the day ended up being really great. My friend
Misty took me to get a pedicure and gelato. Then I came home and found that Ray and the kids had made me this:
I think it is the first time in my adult life that someone has made me a cake on my birthday (except my mom, of course). Then Elliot gave me this drawing he had done:
Be still my heart, sweet boy!
Then I got to go out to dinner with Ray while my friend Misty watched my kids (she did double duty that day!).
So, happy birthday to me! 35 isn't so bad after all, well, except for the wrinkles ;)

Glad you had a good birthday!!! You look great, by the way!!
I'm glad it ended up a great day! 35 isn't so bad, especially with 40 creepy ever closer to me... Live every day like your 20! No one would guess your age, anyway. You still look 20!
older, but definitely wiser. Trust me - I knew you back then.
Your dad
It was a fun day! Anything for an excuse to get a pedi and gelato! Love you! (Can I use any more exclamation points? Seriously. lol)
