OK, that was pretty amazing. We've all heard that the times of distress and grief are there to help us grow. Even in the death of a loved one, that is true - especially in that case. Even in the grief of our own personal sins it is true. I suppose growth can only be optimal if we recognize the atonement's purpose, and then let the Savior carry our grief. "He was a man of sorrow and one acquainted with grief," and He knows full-well how we feel. He has already experienced the grief for us, and only if we then let Him carry it for us can we learn to know Him better, and become more like Him.
"Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
~Marjorie Pay Hinkley
"My dear sisters, do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities, but pray for abilities equal to your tasks. Then the performance of your tasks will not be a miracle but you will be the miracle."
~Thomas S. Monson
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of the people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums. The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature."
~Ezra Taft Benson
"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
~Dr. Suess
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of having an ulterior motive. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For, you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It never was between you and them anyway." ~Mother Theresa
