How cute is Maggie?! Ray and I ripped out all the carpet/pad ourselves. All I have to say is, YUCK!! (most of it is still sitting out in our garage, **sigh**). You can see in this pic how we sanded/painted the rail.
See all this wood trim...ALL of it, painted. It was torture, seriously...
Here are some of the lovely, dusty, moldy, yucky curtains they left for us!!
How 'bout that orange carpet?!
Ray working hard!!
The backyard, love it!!
The (semi) finished product. Yes, my child is standing inches from the TV, don't judge me...
So much better!!
We did all the painting ourselves!!
The girls room
Elliot's room, he is sharing with Naomi until Maggie stops taking naps (Maggie and Naomi sleep at the same time in the afternoon)
Elliot fell asleep on my back while we were looking at my sister Abby's blog. This was after a long day of moving, poor little guy was tuckered out!
Now we just have to replace all the lighting, get/paint new doors, update the bathrooms/kitchen...the list never ends! But we really do love our house and I am so glad that we are finally moved in (sort of :))

Wow Becky! It looks amazing! You guys did a great job. Don't stress about getting the house organized. I think it takes a good 6 months of living there to feel like you're really settled.
Love the picture of Elliot alseep on your back!
We're heading to Poky next week. That place isn't so bad after all!
The new place looks great. But seriously, how could you get rid of those curtains. They would look great in any room in the house.
Becky, it looks AMAZING!!! All that hard work was SO worth it; your house is beautiful! Moving IS so hard, it seems to be a never-ending job of unpacking and cleaning and organzing, while still having to prepare meals throughout the mess, which makes more mess... Hopefully this will be your last move for awhile!
Good luck getting all settled in!
I knew your house would look like--what did the realtor say? "A Pottery Barn catalog"? Something like that. You have such good taste and I LOVE how clean the white trim looks! 100% different house. I'm sure you upped the resale value.
Becky, you are a painter! Good move to do it all before you moved in, so you can enjoy it the whole time you live there (as apposed to waiting until you're trying to sell it and then do all that work for someone else.) When you get tired of looking at all the boxes, just go sit on that great deck and gaze on that great back yard. All you stress will melt away.
