Happy Valentines Day!!

We had our annual Valentines cooking making/decorating party (thanks for the recipe Angie, the cookies are sooo yum!).  The kids loved it, they love anything that involves making a huge mess!  We also went out to breakfast at Elmer's, we loooove Elmer's!!  Ray let me sleep in and worked on the laundry for me.  He also got me a foot spa/massager.  He knows personally how much I love to have my feet pampered!  Sorry about the blurry pictures, I'm having camera issues.

Keep scrolling down, many more posts await.  I'm catching up...

I love your update! The cookies look great! We started down the cookie path but the recipe I used made really pouffy cookies that lost their shape. Sadness.

For your camera, maybe try a new memory card with more storage. It is likely the result of the aperture opening for longer than it should. Using it with flash may help (but maybe you already are). I think the makers of cameras make them so that the exposure time increases with age giving all images with even slight movement a blurry tinge. That is my experience anyway.

I love Elliot's bike! It is uuber cool. Gotta love good deals! I got Danskos 2 weeks ago for a dollar.

Also, I wrote my name on my Dad's truck when I was a little girl. In gold spray paint. Talk about permanent.

I have gotten permanent marker out of fabric with a bar of Fels Naptha soap. It is hard hard hard to find though.

Let me know if you ever need to get melted crayon (a la dryer) out, I am an expert at that.

Wow, good update Becky. That permanent marker had me laughing out loud. And all of Grace's faces. Naomi looks so sweet!! I wish I could hold her. I really like the icing licked off a couple of those cookies. That'a'kids.

It's so fun to see your kids. I can't believe how much Maggie has changed and that Naomi is already 5 weeks! They all are so beautiful. I like Elliot's hair shaved and I also couldn't help but smile when I saw Ray's jeans. Isn't is funny how much better things seem after taking a picture and blogging about it?? It's like therapy. :) Long after the jeans are gone you'll still have a great "remember when..." story. Glad you guys are doing well. You are such awesome parents. My kids keep begging to do something fun like make a mess in the kitchen and I just keep putting it off. Maybe soon.

You've been a busy blogger! Love the cookie tradition. I wanted to try that recipe myself. Whenever you see sour cream in a sugar cookie recipe, you know they'll be soft and yummy.

I also love hand-me-downs! Piper's current coat is an super cute Old Navy hand-me-down and we get compliments on it all of the time. I am not ashamed to say that I am an avid thrift store shopper. You can find some pretty great stuff. Piper is in clothes for such a short time, I hate buying everything new. I also don't have to cringe when she spills chocolate milk or grape juice on herself.

I don't know if it would work on clothing or not, but rubbing alcohol removes sharpie marks from most hard surfaces. You might want to remember that tip for the future LOL.

Love the picture of Ray holding Naomi! All of the kids are getting so big! You're right about Grace looking older - more of a young girl as opposed to a little girl.

I love hand me downs too!! Mia got a bike from a friend and after two tries she is without training wheels. I can't believe it! You are so great to do cookies with your kids. The thought crossed my mind but the thought of the mess was too much for me to even want to think about it again. I am excited to see the kids this summer I hope! When I am at my parents we will get together for SURE!

I'm kind of sad that we got to know the Grace and Elliot so well when we lived close, but the second half is such a mistery to me. Magie is this whole new element to the family, and the new babe as well.
Too wierd. Hopefully it wont be a 2000 mile distance forever.

Becky I am so behind on blogging and you gave me a lot to catch up on!!!

First of all, Naomi is beautiful, I CANNOT BELIEVE she is 6 weeks old already; WHERE does the time go? I agree that the human body is amazing... when Gage was so tiny, I just kept worrying that his heart would stop, or his kidneys would fail, or something crazy would happen. The slightest noise would wake me, and one time, he slept 'til 5 am and I shot up in a panic thinking he had died! I couldn't believe his tiny little body could keep working, and here we are 7 years later, and now he's just a normal little kid! The way our bodies function IS amazing, (both newborn ones, and Mom's as you pointed out), and SUCH proof of divine design...

SO anyway, I'm SUPER jealous of the $6 thrifting score- we need another bike desperately! Gage still rides his toddler bike; it's ridiculous!

The girl's bunk beds are so cute, and your bedding is absolutely beautiful! I love white bedding; it is so crisp and clean looking. Your parents are so good to you!

Becky, your little family is so cute, and I am so glad that life has blessed you so richly. You deserve it all!

Take care and enjoy your sweet little Naomi... it goes WAY too fast.
